Who are we ?
We are the Shatt al-Arab Insurance Company, a “special contribution” founded
in 2005 and is registered and subject to the law regulating the insurance
number is (10) for the year 2005 under the sequence (6) in the 22/12/2005,
with a paid-up capital of $ (750) million it was increased to onebillion two
hundred and fifty million dinars the last increasing of thecapital are three
Billion dinars.
The company is linked legally to the Office of Insurance and it is the
section that supervises and organizes the activities of the insurance
company in Iraq.
The company founders are “Construction Dar for General Trading Group” and a
group of companies Altaif for Trade known in the Iraqi commercial market .
The company started actively in the first quarter of the year 2006 by
exposing its insurance services and risk management services to the private
equity firms and public organizations in addition to the trade unions and
civil society associations, organizations and diplomatic missions in Iraq.
The company has defined herself of the region through liaison with the
General Arab Insurance Federation of Afro-Asian Insurance in the Republic of
Egypt and the Arab Fund for war-risk insurance in the State of Bahrain.
Throughout the first year, the company was able to define itself in the
Iraqi market and the regional market that enabled the company to build a
well trusted and reliable and certified name.

the terms of the insurance

insurance companies approved by the pilot in the world such as the Lloyds
British and Munich Reinsurance Company of Germany.
